“If there was a clock, one of those big round clocks, keeping track with its arms of human beings’ progress and evolution, I believe that today it would just point to the first 15 minutes”.
That's what I often tell my clients, smiling... is that a metaphor? Yes, meaning we are only just born....
Our species, as we know it, is actually still very young, just consider for example that our “modern” cerebral cortex (the latest evolutionary achievement, mother of all our most complex reasoning) appeared just a few thousand years ago, not that long ago, if we think that homo sapiens appeared on this earth thousands of years before that.
I look at human beings in the new millennium with lots of faith and optimism, because the tools which are available to us are incredibly powerful, and the will to build something better is huge in many people.
I intend to give my contribution, even though it may not seem like much, to the growth and evolutionary process in which human beings are involved.
My desire is taking active part. I strongly wish to celebrate and toast together with all my fellow human beings, applauding the masterpiece that our species will prove to be, once it will show all its splendours.
